Challenge

In every issue of the new look Shimmer Life, we are going to issue a challenge to our readers, that is YOU!

It will be something that ties in with the themes of Engage, Grow or Go. We would love it if you could tell us what happened as an encouragement to others. It is not a 'look at me' thing at all. We would love to hear how God has worked through you.

Winter

This issue we are challenging our readers to exercise your encouragement muscles. This time it is an easy one – pick a few people and do or say or write something that encourages them – big or small. Then let us know how it went! Encouragement all 'round!

Autumn

An easy one to start. Make a meal for the church's freezer or for someone who needs it. It could be anything from a cake to a full on meal. Pray for an opportunity.

A few weeks ago, I rang a lady out of the blue to see if I could set up a play date with my son and her daughter. She was having a BAD day, mastitis. I sent her a message saying, "Don't organise anything for dinner, I'm bringing you some! What can't you eat?". She was blown away. After that, her small daughters and her husband realised how sick she was and gave her more attention and love. They were only burritos!

This was a prod from God. It was a joy to help. Please let us know how you go over the next few months.
