Craft day 2008
The first annual Shimmer Craft Day was full of the things that women appreciate. Food was beautifully laid out on tables decorated with fantastic Christmas creations, and the two hours of craft were definitely enjoyed by all who attended. We were also treated to a creative message from Sancha Prowse, which I’m sure left all the women walking away with something different that resonated with them. READ ON
Shimmer Conference 2008 — Firepower
A stunning September day greeted delegates to Shimmer's seventh annual women's conference. This year, 150 women attended from across the peninsula and beyond. READ ON
Shimmer Retreat 2008
This year's Shimmer Retreat was held at the Stanwell Park Conference Centre. The theme was 'Women in the Word'. Once again tickets sold fast. Nineteen out of sixty-four campers were first timers and there were a brave few who actually knew no one. READ ON
E-mag launch
There was glitz, there was glamour at the launch of Shimmer's new online magazine (Emag), Shimmer Life. The ladies of Pittwater Uniting Church (PUC) and their guests were dressed to the nines with a classy fashion parade accompanied by mocktails and some mighty fine canapes. READ ON
