Shimmer Retreat

Nothing could stop the Shimmer retreat this year. Sixty women of varying ages made the journey to beautiful Kurrajong to learn about God's kindness to His people. It was a special time filled with amazing teaching from Fiona Wheeler and Jo Rogers, inspiring worship with Pippa Dutch, Jo Rogers, Nat Wade and relaxing moments wagging chins.

The ministry times were precious as the richness of God's love soaked into the hearts of all who listened. The women were challenged to live what they believed in kindness to all around them. Add to this depth the sheer fun of varied activities and you've got yourself an incredible women's retreat. Think pamper room, games on the wii, crochet and knitting circle, board games, trivia night and movies.

Once again Shimmer delivered a full weekend which has built unity and faith in the sisterhood of Pittwater Uniting Church. Thanks to all involved in organising the weekend, particularly Mikala Kelman.

Don't miss out on next year's retreat. The unity of the body of Christ should never be underrated. Let's make it a priority to take time out together to strengthen, encourage and learn from each other.
